COVID-19 Know Before You Go

Before entering someone's home to provide care you should -

Either call, text, or stand outside the door and ask the following questions:

  • Does anyone in the home have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat.
  • Has anyone in the household had contact in the last 14 days with someone with COVID-19, under investigation for COVID-19, or is ill with respiratory illness.
  • Has anyone in the household traveled outside the country, other than Mexico, within the previous 14 days.

If the answer is yes to any of the questions above, do not enter the home and contact the office for further instructions.

Monitor your own health and signs or symptoms of infection daily.

Daily ask yourself the following questions:

  • Do you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat.
  • Have you been in contact in the last 14 days with someone with COVID-19, under investigation for COVID-19, or is ill with respiratory illness.
  • Have you traveled outside the country, other than Mexico, within the previous 14 days.

If the answer is yes to any of the questions above, do not go to work and contact the office for further instructions.

Infection Control and Personal Protective Equipment

  • Infection control means reducing the likelihood of spreading an infection from one person to another.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is specialized clothing or equipment worn by an employee for protection against infectious materials.
  • PPE prevents contact with an infectious body fluid by creating a protective barrier between the potential infectious material and the healthcare worker.
  • Gloves are the most common type of PPE.  Other types of PPE include gowns, masks and face shields.
  • The agency will provide appropriate PPE free of charge to each employee

When in doubt or if you need further information, call the office.
